This is VITAL to success…
My biggest not-so-secret to success is FAILING FORWARD.
Here's how…
When people reach out and say that they want to do what I have done….
and then are not willing to Fail Forward, then…
they aren't really wanting to do what I've done!
They are just talking. It's just "words, words, words…" (to quote Hamlet).
They want to somehow magically produce results similar to mine…or success… without the vital ingredient of Failing Forward.
Or taking any real risk.
Or any of the messy stuff that is crucial to success.
So, here it is:
Fail Forward, fall, look at what you learned…then pick yourself back up again…(with that new information)
And Fail Forward again.
And then rinse and repeat.
Personally, this is what has worked for me.
Is it neat?
No.
Is it scrappy?
Yes.
Does it always feel orderly and like you are in control?
No.
Is it scary?
Yep. (Heck Yeah!)
So, ask yourself. Do you REALLY want to be successful?
And then do what it takes.
Being successful is willing to figure out what you need to do, and then having the courage to go ahead with it.
Playing around the edges of the sandbox forever, will never work.
And feeling "comfortable" every second of the way is keeping you stuck.
For instance, I have met very few people in my life who naturally LOVE selling. Most folks have to get past that uncomfortable period of getting used to selling….anything.
If we insisted on perfect comfort every second of the way, we would never get good at anything. At all.
What is ONE thing you could do to stop playing so "safe" (ie: stuck) and Fail Forward?
Have an amazing day….whether you are succeeding or failing and learning from it!
Much love,
